Wow, it’s been a whirlwind summer! I moved at the end of July, and between apartment-hunting, packing, moving, and UN-packing—it feels like I’ve been running full speed! It’s had me a little distracted, but I’m finally situated in my brand new space, and feel like I’ve just started a really big, important chapter in my life. After 6 years in Brooklyn, I’ve moved back to Manhattan—and with a view like this from my workspace, I’m falling in love all over again with this city and feeling freshly inspired!
I’ve been juggling a lot of new things in the meantime—mostly book cover assignments, which can’t be shared until much closer to the pub dates. But I’ve been trying to squeeze in more and more personal work after my 9-5 and between freelance deadlines. Here’s a recent piece of hand-lettering—derived from a rejected sketch for a book cover assignment earlier this year, and a nice tribute to an amazing summer as we close in on the last weekend of the season!
